Money-making religions are ultra-secretive about their abundance of filthy lucre.
Try and discover how much cash the Catholic Church, Mormons, Scientology, and the WTBTS have in their coffers - and good luck trying!
i thank all of you for the warm welcome and having read my bio.
i look forward to many discussions and hopefully in the future to be able to be open about it with my wife and kids.
but for now i have a question.
Money-making religions are ultra-secretive about their abundance of filthy lucre.
Try and discover how much cash the Catholic Church, Mormons, Scientology, and the WTBTS have in their coffers - and good luck trying!
take as many books and magazines that you can from the carts and then the watchtower will have to spend money that they dont have to replace the books and magazines.
Conscientious JW's contribute donations to offset the org's cost in producing the literature which they take for their ministry.
Thankfully, I was never that "conscientious" as a J.W.!
this is so touching that i had to post it again in a new thread.. thanks, smiddy!.
.
Here's the video as well.
i think that the 8 popes should allow the jdubs to count time driving to the meetings or even count their time being at the meetings.
those who just listen over the phone can't count their time.. it would be a much better religious cult if the 8 self-licking ice cream popes would let their followers count their time for helping the elderly in the kingdumb haul with stopping by to have coffee, shopping, cleaning, cutting grass, etc.
let them count time by visiting the friends in nursing homes, maybe even allow double the hours for the nursing home visits.. this probably ain't going to happen because the cart work is easier..
Sour Grapes, what an absurd idea - asking JW's to actually apply & live up to the identifying mark of a true Christian which Jesus commanded at John 13:34,35.
And all the time I was an active JW, I believed that preaching the good news was the identifying mark!
Silly me - how could I possibly have come to that conclusion????????

what is it like to be a jehovah’s witness family living in ireland?.
adherence to biblical strictures provides a solid base in an increasingly secular society.
The Amish community are hell-raisers compared to JW's!
after crossing the finishing line in paris, a group of the tour de france cyclists went straight into the river.. french police have said the men were all insane!.

there are many here who think they can infiltrate my web-site.
be warned that we administrators of jwtalk call the listed congregation on your application for membership in our site to verify if they know you!.
some of you have slipped through the cracks and got into our site, but rest assured, we will find you out and ban you!.
Mange tout, Rodney!
from what i understand, a letter was read this past week in regards to congregation reassignments and that the elders want to meet with people at their homes to tell them where they have been reassigned.
obviously, this would be due to the merging and dissolution of congregations.
can anyone confirm this?.
The "personal touch" may be getting invoked to prevent potentially outspoken "evict-ims" (see what I did there?) from causing a scene when they read the letter on the notice board.
I distinctly remember years ago the distress voiced by some when the book-study groups were "re-arranged."
i found it extremely accurate, and as such, not a pleasant experience.
merely reinforced my certainty regarding the org's venomous teachings & practices.. a very well made film for non-jw's to get a good insight into the minds & attitudes of the cult and its members, but not really one i'd urge faders to go and see.
victim returning to the scene of the crime scenario.. opinions will differ..
